Awful news that at least 12 people have died.  I pity those who live in these death traps.

It's awful. Really awful.

It's also very shocking how quickly it went up. That fire spread far too fast for a building like that. They are looking into the new cladding that was put on it in 2013, the company that did now say they dont know what it is even made of. How disgusting.
Also the building has been on a list of sorts to have its safety reviewed. Too late now.....

R.I.P. all those who have perished. One man, old and blind spent 12 hours waiting to be saved, and thank god he was. How terrified he must have felt.  Crying or Very sad

Heads nee to roll on this one.

It is shocking that in this day and age that people should live and die in such awful flats.  Something needs to be done but sadly no one seemed to listen to the concerns the residents had.

I've never seen a fire spread so quickly! Heads should certainly roll, after this horrific incident! R.I.P.

Instead of spreading ten million on cladding, surely they should have spent it on a sprinkler system and improving the fire alarms which residents say were inadequate.

Cladding that was the cheapest option and banned in the states on buildings that were as high as Grenville towers.

Banned in  the U.S. Europe, and apparently, the U.K.! 2 versions of the cladding, and they went for the cheaper one, saving 6/7,000 on the block!!!
