The Cunard Yanks, those young stewards, waiters and seamen who sailed the liners to New York and States-side.
They were the trendy young men and women who brought the music and dress style that set the bearing for us who sailed the ships in the Merch (Merchant Navy).
They even spoke with scouse-American accents… tomato’s became tomateo’s . It was obviously put on to impress, but they were all great boys and girls who helped make the pool what it is today.
