A Warning to be heeded

With the Christmas and new year festivities upon us and the inevitable impending over indulgence of Firewater by all and sundry I thought a sobering thought [Pardon the Pun] was in order with reference to the consequences of such action witnessed by a Wife at Christmas Time of 1852 in Liverpool. is a transcript from the 'Deaths & Inquests round up section of The Liverpool Mercury of January 1853.

"Andrew B*** of No 9 K****** St .Liverpool ,who had formerly been much addicted to liquor, requested his wife to get up at 4am , she did so and was making the fire, when she heard a groan, and on going to the bedside found the deceased had suddenly expired, verdict, "Died by the visitation of God".

Visitation Of God ?  hahaha !     .You Have All been forewarned  Wink
