A bronze sculpture by Mark De Graffenried, 2001. This statue of a young family commemorates migration from Liverpool to the new world. It was given to the people of Liverpool by the Mormon Church as a tribute to the many families from all over Europe who embarked on a brave and pioneering voyage from Liverpool to start a new life in America. The child stepping forward at the front symbolises migration to the unknown world, whilst the child playing with a crab at the back S

I missed seeing these when in last night. I agree with the others Alice they are very good quality photos  full of interesting detail  and extremely Sharp., even the new , horrible black monstrosities are shown in a favourable light. You obviously enjoyed your time there, what a fantastic development success  of what until the 1980s was a Silted up , decaying Former Victorian Dock complex.
thanks for sharing
I'm pleased you didnt drop your Camera in the Briny   Wink
Alice

Nice Pic Alice, there was a Chinese Dragon event taking place on that area during the Battle of the Atlantic Commemorations I have it in the back of my mind that the original planned location for this Statue was outside St Georges Hall
