Barbies Photos

I have just clicked onto  BabsV1's photostream

I felt like I was intruding , but I couldn't resist peeking, I ended up going through the full set of albums.

Barbie you are so very fortunate to have such a fantastic selection of Family images. I am quite sure that each and every one of them is precious to you, and rightly so. I was particularly taken by three of them............. The first one was The shot of your Mum & Dad as they were just about to enter their Wedding Car....your Mum looked like a Hollywood Starlet...what a Stunner !
The Second was the shot of Your proud Dad with you as a little girl gazing so happily out of the family car....
And the third was the Shot of your Mum on her 80th Birthday Party and her delighted daughter looking on.

Priceless !

thanks for sharing Barbie !

Dear BB,
I wish you could see my face now.
I'm rather emotional at the present, I turn 50 on thursday, it's near mum's first anniversary and almost dad's 16th. They married in september he passed in september and so did mum. They were together 49 years bar 2 weeks.
My pending birthday has, along with mum's passing, churned up a lot of stuff inside me. I find myself wandering down memory lane quite a bit. I am bouncing from sad to happy, to regretfull and guilty.
I went up into my loft earlier tonight to straighten out the mess left by the guys who did the insulating couple of weeks back. I came across my bag of dolls which I've had since a small child. The dolls which 'bought' for me via Embassy ciggi tokens.  The very same ciggies which are alleged to have contributed to dad's ill health in later life.  Sad I'd rather have done without the dolls dad. However, the dolls flooded back a whole load of memories, I just wanted to go back, just for a few hours, just to change a few things, mend a few broken 'things'. I can't do that but you know what, them dolls are not going back up there. They are staying down here with me.

BB, I feel honoured for such a thread. Thank you. ♥
