Battle of The Atlantic Commemorations-walk

Wow ! I did the walk around the Pier Head & Albert Dock today to view the event.  It was amazing, The place was buzzing , Some fantastic displays of Ships on the River and in Albert Dock, Lots of Military Vehicles and equipment on show, many open to enter and get close Up and personal with, and Helicopters buzzing up & down the Mersey simulating Ant-Smuggling detedtion methods etc.
There was so many people swarming in to enjoy the Sunny days events that the Safety Stewards had at one point to Stagger the directions of foot traffic over the walkway bridges between the Museum of Liverpool and Albert dock, it was reminiscent of build up to Kick off time at Anfield or Goodison.
I took pics but committed the carnival sin of failing to charge up my battery before setting off so didnt get as many as I would have wished... I will put some up later.
Anyone else who attended the event today and wishes to add any of their pics here then please do so, the more the merrier
The Event is on for a minimum of two more days and I can thouroughly recommend it to anyone not there today but who may be contemplating going.,, This City knows how to give a great welcome to its visitors,  The 'Help the Heroes' Stand was swamped ,and their donation buckets filling up rapidly which was superb !
Barbie

Sounds amazing! I'm going tomorrow.

Had a great time down the Lanny today. A few shots of today.....

Very hard to get pics without people in it. However, the people count as they turned up to Liverpool in their droves.
Today, I was not just proud to be British, but proud to be a scouser.  Cool

Barbie

It was very dificult to get near enough for a decent shot of this ship, so many people.

On guard.
