Lizzie, I'm pleased you had a great weekend back home and thanks for sharing some of your pics from your day at the B.O.A. commemorations, more can be found in the 'Hobbies & Pastimes' thread at the bottom of the page. What a fantastic spectacle it was and much much more than just ships on the river. Your pics were great, ..I bet you will treausure them and show them to friends, The event was another marvalous indication of how this City and its people has picked itself back up off the floor and is a now a 'must see 'destination for increasing numbers of visitors, Thankfully its often wrongly interpreted image from the past now thankfully consigned to the past
.. Hope you've now sorted all your Dirty washing , and dont worry too much about work as its only a short week it will soon be the weekend again.......June straight ahead.. where oh where is the year disappearing too.  Shocked
Thanks for sharing your pics MOJO.. good positioning.

This old feller said he sailed with many chinese seamen, and was disgusted with the way they were treated....once the war was over! Many were forcibly repatriated to communist China, where their fate was never known,by the wives, children, and girlfriends they left behind! At least now, they have an official apology!

Jan

so very sad when you see the old veterans ,,, makes you think of your own parents and what they went through ,, so many were so brave ,,,would love to hear more stories of their war years ,,, Jan x
MOJO
