Comet ison update

Comet ison photographed by Hubble on the 25th April when it was 394 million miles from earth , in Noverber it is anticipated that it will be as bright as the full moon

Ta for that interesting info Scousemouse. I'm not up to speed [pardon the pun]. on all this Outerspace stuff but I find some of the facts and fugures quoted to be quite astronomical..[oops ! pun again  Razz  ]
I tell you what though, if that was taken 394 million miles from earth , then that light must be fantastically intense, imagine paying the lecky Bill for that

They actualy have no light of their own,they are heated as they approach the s*n and the solar wind starts stripping off gases and dust , its reflected sunlight off the gas and dust that makes them shine.

Thanks Scousemous, that mkes sense when you think about it, I presume its the same with the Moon isnt it.

yes also the planets,just shows how bright our s*n is
