Edith Cavell

On reading about Florence Nightingale, we must not forget Edith Cavell, a nurse and a true heroine who saved many lives during World War I

Barbie

I wonder how many others there are that have never had any recognition?
They should all be saluted!  Cool

We can honour them here Barbie if we know their names.

I see that there is a statue in her honour in St Martin's Place, near Trafalgar Square in London.

She has over 100 memorials around the world in her honour.

She was not only a nurse saving lives but helped many escape and for that reason she was executed by a German firing suad for treason.
