Music boss Alan Wills dies after cycling accident

A musician who founded one of Liverpool's biggest record labels has died after a cycling accident.

Alan Wills died on Sunday night - three days after he suffered serious head injuries while cycling along East Prescot Road, Page Moss.

The 52-year-old drummer was the founder of Deltasonic Records, which signed bands including The Coral and The Zutons.

His friend Dave Pichilingi said his death "will be a great loss".

Mr Pichilingi, founder of the Liverpool Sound City music festival, added: "I was with him at the end. He was one of my closest friends.

"His loyalty, his belief, his commitment and all the amazing things he did in the industry are well known.

"We worked together with bands for many years. There aren't enough characters in this game and he was bigger than life." Forum Index -> Liverpool News & Chat
