Musical Genre's

Country music has always been my favourite genre, that’s not to say it’s the only music I love, I also enjoy opera and classics; I enjoy all music.

Madame Butterfly Aria; One fine day

One of my all-time favourites is Maria Callas singing the aria from Madame Butterfly, it’s forlorn, and in fact it is tragic.

Butterfly has come out of an affair with an American naval officer, had his child and he has left her to return to America.
She sings, “One fine day he will return.”

She reminisces about their time together and believes he will soon return and he does, but only to take his baby son back to his new wife in America:

Barbie

Genre's of music....I have a wide and different taste of musics that have come with getting ol....mature....  Very Happy

Always loved my rock from when i was a kid, I even dressed like the Bay City Rollers when i was a 12. Also loved David Essex them days too. I always loved David Bowie, (and such like) moved into punk and heavy rock, progressive rock and have a penchant for alternative bands.
In Between that, also had a love of 50's Rock 'n' Roll.

As said, now that my years are adding up...ok...getting older....my tastes are varied, I still love my rock, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, etc but can now also enjoy a bit of country, some classical and well, lets just say, I like music from the 50's, 60's 70's 80's 90's.....some the 00's (all starting to go completely rubbish t me now from here) but then like this morning, I suddenly heard a band that was new to me, The Dunwells and hey....i like!!!

From Leeds, they’re British….. has anyone ever heard of my nephew David Kent, he seems to be gathering a following in Liverpool but I’ve never heard him?
