Princes Dock 90's

A couple of Princes dock when it was being used as a carpark, with 2 of the rail sheds that were there, for disembarking passengers. Notice the "ugly sisters" in the distance!

Great pic's Mojo, love the top one,, Where are the other two?

Great Pics MOJO, I also think that first one is excellent.

Are the other two shots of what remained of Riverside Station within the Dock
MOJO

Yeh, that's it B.B.,and thanks Jan! Taken at different times, one from a Liver building tour! It's only as time passes that they take on some meaning,as it's so different there now! Here's a pic' of how it was,you can make out the "shed"!

A few from more recently.....it's unrecognisable from what it was,and more building to come!

Wow ! MOJO, they are very professional photographs you have taken and shared here . Ta !

...and yes you are correct when you describe how a photograph taken for pleasure years back can become a real gem when viewed years later, things sometimes change gradually and its only when we look back at images like the ones put up here by you , that it is realised what has been lost.

nice one !
Jan

Thanks mojo great photo's, Liverpool looks so modern and clean..
I did  wonder if that was Riverside,  never seen it,, only in photo's.

Here's a couple of the landing stage which was Riverside,I think? including the now famous "shack" which up to now,has refused to collapse! Amazing that a wooden sructure, can survive so well,in water!

Jan

These are great pics mojo,,I have a keen interest of anything to do with the Mersey ,as many of my family worked on the Ferries and ships.
Love a bit more info on this old shack and landing stage,, if anyone out there could help,,I  would really appreciate it...Thanks for posting the pics ....Jan x Very Happy

As far as I know, this is where the liners would dock, and passengers would then decamp to Riverside station, to travel on?! The "shack" is a former information/ticket booth, with a passenger ramp next to it.....but I'm not sure! Have a look at this.

Its amazing that shack is still there MOJO ,it must be a valuable relic of past times  for it to be still in place..

This one made me laugh, when I spotted the folding chair inside! Obviously someone has sat sitting there, watching the world go by! (It's gone now though!)

Great photo MOJO, whilst looking at it I was imagining how busy it must have been around there in times gone by.That little shack could tell some fascinating stories if it could talk.
I think that chair belongs to Billy No Mates  !

Awww...a folding chair, deffo someone's 'hideaway from the world' place.

As for the new pic, I loved them trains so much. Had a toy one as a kid. I don't know what happened to it. Or other things I loved...
