Residents fears for homes near Mersey Gateway bridgeAngry residents living near the new Mersey Gateway bridge fear they will be unable to sell their homes because of changes they claim they were not consulted on.
Mum-of-two Amanda Gunter says she had no idea the trees outside her windows, on Warrington Road, Halton, would be chopped down until a few weeks ago when workmen arrived to mark them for removal this month.
Merseylink, who are behind the new bridge. have told the Sunday ECHO they are now looking again at their plans because of the residents’ concerns.
Ms Gunter said: “We look out now and it’s quite a leafy area so it protects us from the slip road and now some of us are going to end up with no landscaping and will look out onto concrete and the bridge.
