Thank you.....does any one know the significance of those stone suitcases.... Question

My sis told us to visit the Phil to see the toilets as they are still the original marble ones....
I went into the ladies but they were not half as nice..obviously from a long ago era when women didnít go to pubs as the ladies are obviously a later addition... Wink

China Town

some good pixs here Lizzie.

The  Chinese Arch is the largest one outside of China.  It was made in China and transported here to Liverpool in sections .Many people travelled with it from China to help supervise its reaassembly here at the Entrance to what is the Oldest surviving Chinese Community in Europe.
It is magnificent isn't it.
Alice

I took this randomly today, just because I like the style. I love the buildings in and around Dale street.

Alice

Barbie, that a nic pic, do you know the name of the building?
Barbie

I don't to be honest Alice, maybe someone else does.
I actually have chopped off the top of the building opposite it, it is Russian style and very nice.

Barbie

Amazing! Thanks matey. I will try to get better pics of these buildings, there's just been so much going on down the Lanny and the Dock that I've spent my time there.
MOJO

Nice pic's Barbie, but got to agree,it's a pity it's now used as a cafe, though at least it's not lying there empty!

Here are a couple, of those doors!

Barbie

Those doors are amazing, I hope they are preserved for ever Mojo. Ta for sharing those.
It is better that the buildings are in use but it just makes me think of what they were, and how it has all gone tits up. Not just in Liverpool but all over.
