Street Entertainers

Does anyone remember the old girl who used to play the piano, for charity, outside M&S? It just doesn't seem that long ago since she died, but it was 1989......23 years ago!!! Shocked

I remember seeing that lady playing the piano on a few occasions ..
Did you know that she has a well known daughter ..

Jean Boht .. ( Ma Boswell ) in the comedy series "Bread" was her daughter ..

You reminded me there was a thread on street entertainers,Barbie,so I thought I'd put these up! This guy had great powers of "stillness"!

Barbie

Amazing how much dosh they get off the public!  Very Happy I couldn't do it. The boredom and stillness would wreck my head!
Good pics though, thanks for sharing.
MOJO

He's probably on Krokodil! Smile

....not sure what these 2 were up to though?!

Barbie

Shocked  Just. No!
MOJO

A slight change of approach from Metal Mickey here, he's actually charging to have your photo taken with him!!

Barbie

Cheek! I wouldn't be arsed! I was chased in New York for trying takepics of teh so called entertainers. I was determined to get one of a Mini Mouse and no matter how hard she tried to avoid me, I eventually got one. She wasn't too happy.... Laughing  Laughing I was a bit scared of the police turning up there though.... Confused
Good pic you managed Mojo.
Alice

Yes, great photo MOJO!
Barbie

I stood by this guy today and loads of other street entertainers too. One was sat on a magic carpet, off the ground....and i cant work out how he does it! I had no camera or cam phone on me to take a shot.

I love these Street entertainers that are currently in and around the ChurchSt-Lord St area they bring so much fun to shoppers busily passing by.
There is no way they should be allowed to Charge for photographs whilst standing in a Public place.. Donation Hat Yes, and I would hope they recieved plenty in it, but Compulsary charging ? No Way ! ,and it should not be Lawful. If I wanted to take a photo of someone standing by them in the Middle of Church Street they woudnt Stop me ,and thats a Fact.
MOJO

Strongman in Church st.1973,when I think it was unusual? (dig those flares, man!)

Barbie

It's Rodney!!!  Laughing
MOJO

A fire eater, outside "Littlewoods" in 1988. (dig those "boxies"!)

.....thing is, he's not actually moving! (don't know how they have the patience!)

Barbie

Decided to bump this thread up. Although the sand god still turns up, I wonder what ever happened to the other guys, especially the guy who did the fabulous chalk drawings of famous painting?
