I agree on the watermark point and it looks by the printed descriptions on the first and the last ones that they may well actually originate from postcards of the time .

Where was the Hahnemann Hospital I see it closed in 1976  which was my era but I cannot for the life of me picture it

....it's still there, and I read it was to be converted into a hotel, or similar, but it's now up for sale!?








I still look in, waiting for one of the usual 12/13 "viewers" to post, but not much luck!

Can anyone give any details, on this building, in Cornwallis st.? It was formerly a blind workshop....but then??

There was a public baths and laundry in Cornwallis St, I think this was it.

That Is the old baths.

I don't know if they still stand today though. Google maps show the building was still there July 2014.

I've since found out that it was a workshop for the blind, and the swimming / wash baths was opposite, now long gone!
