If you are using a computer or laptop download google earth ,
In flight radar 24 click on a plane you want to watch when the side panel appears click on cockpit view on the bottom left in the panel and  google earth will open and down load a small plugin then you can view what the pilot can see from the plane as the plane climbs or descends so dose the view its best if you set google to satellite view . Enjoy

Another service on F/R24 if you click on an airport on the map it will give you a list of inbound and outbound flights with times  S/M

Thanks Scousemouse, I notice that some flights don't have any call signs, do you think they are RAF or private planes?

No it just means they are not including the callsign just the hex code.or it has finised its flight and stopped transmitting with out closeing down.
If you want to see mill aircraft you need a diffrent program you have to pay for its not expensive though you can read about it and download it here

Manchester Airport was closed for at least an hour last night to clear the snow from the runways.  I watched planes circling many times as they waited to land rather than be diverted to other airports.
