Barbie,
seeing it's underground,is it to do with Williamson's tunnels, even though that angled roof doesn't "fit"?
Barbie

I haven't a clue where this is Barbie, as a pure guess the nearest i could do would say it was the basement of one of Our famous city centre buildings, but I could then guess at loads......Yep, I,m Stumped......Go on  ' Gis a Clue '

Barbie how fascinating, I bet most people don't know about that tour!
Barbie

It took us on a real good tour of the building, well down below street level, saw how they keep the tunnel ventiallted, lots of cameras and computers. Was interesting, thing is I've not seen it advertised since.
MOJO

Well,at least I got next door! Smile Did they have the tours when that "open" week is on?
brainbox

Barbie. that is such a co-incidence , as at 5.15pm last Friday I phoned to try and book on the Saturday morning Tour...i.e. for yesterday. unfortunately the booking line closed at 4.45 pm and I just got the answering service telling me to ring back on Monday.   OOOOOOH !  i wish I had managed to have got there Saturday , I could have jumped right in there at you with your pic cos I would probably only just have been in that tunnel myself. Crying or Very sad

Good one though ! ,  cos I was thinking Buildings , don't think I would have got it !

I will be getting down there myself shortly, your description of the experience has settled that.

No takers Then ?

Its one of 3 new Electric Vehicle Charging points just been installed in the Asda car park Breck Rd. Others stores probably have them too I suppose.

They are accessed via a Smart Card which is passed over the Reader panel on top of the Column...not sure where you obtain the reader cards.
When I was there taking the photo the Charging points were attracting great interest from Shoppers...I think lots of them thought Asda were introducing Parking Meters   .
