Woman waist deep in mud in Crosby Beach rescued

A woman was rescued by firefighters after becoming trapped waist deep in mud on a beach in Merseyside.

The woman became stuck about 300yd (274m) from the promenade while walking along Crosby Beach.

She was freed after about 25 minutes in the mud and was then checked over by paramedics.

Merseyside firefighters have carried out a number of mud rescues this year. People have been urged to avoid soft mud areas after the tide has gone out.

I know it happens quite often, as people think it won't happen to them! You see them walking quite some distance out, much further than that woman,  and I wonder who would realise they were stuck?! Forum Index -> Liverpool News & Chat
