Thanks Alice. It was difficult with so many people there but, I am glad they were there. Liverpool did the country proud. I was glad to be a scouser yesterday.  Cool

Thanks for logging in and sharing your photos with me and everyone else looking in barbie, and great backgound info from scousemouse too......Barbie,you are always very generous in your input to the forum it would be courteous and thoughtful of others who were able to . to also thank you and contribute their photos and comments .
Here are a few that I took on Saturday that I will allso share.

Apart from the Superb assembly of Naval Vessels in Port, there was also a large number of Military vehicles that could be viewed close up...here is just one example..

Quality and Reliability assured

Military Chopper flying over the River.. Clear Bluer Skies .Fabulous

Another Chopper, this one Static... Scousemouse may be able to give info on their  name and Specifications

There were many many Servicemen from other countries mingling with the local crowds, these two fellas with the 'Dinner Plate' sized hats were but two of them. The bag that the Sailor on the left is holding had emblazoned upon it ' Cool Brittania '   Razz

Lots & lots of Military related Charitable orgnisations were present at the Pier Head... this one is The Royal British Legion Stand.

The Official B.O.A.70 Merchandise and Information stand

Just one of the many items on sale , with proceeds going towards benefitting our Gallant Serving & Retired Heroes

-Awaiting the open Air Orchestral Concert.

The Freaky Sisters out to scare the kids.............They derffo managed to Scare me . Shocked

This very funny and entertaining Irish Lady playing the role of a Maid complete with a trolley full of goodies and walking around on Stilts, is really great , she even does a Jig to the music and is often to be seen at events in and around the Pier head & Albert Dock,

Great pics B.B. but I wish you would say exactly where they are for those of us who don't know Liverpool that well.  For instance where is the pic, where you are waiting for the outdoor concert to begin?
