Mojo, thanks for sharing them photos, they're brilliant.
You can come across so much amazing stuff on foot! Well better than driving up and down a boring motorway any day.

Thanks Barb',I'm rediscovering myself, just get your dayrider!! Smile

Here are a few pic's of the layers of "old" sand,which seem similar to the description of the one's were they found the 4,000 year old human,and animal footprints,further along,at Formby point! I don't know if you can make out the layers,and the fact that it looks like an oilslick,because it's darker than the surrounding sand!

Ha,ha, it is! As I said,this is an old sand layer that's been exposed by the tides,etc!

Imagine my surprise, when I spotted this.......I was honoured! Laughing





In the distance,in pic' 4,you can see Formby Point,and I had some idea of heading along that way,next time,but I'm not sure about public access,as Altcar shooting range backs on to it? Shocked
