I was there 1967 -1975. It was through the troubles in Northern Ireland and a lot of the nuns were from Belfast area. It was ghastly -cockroaches ridiculous uncomfortable expensive uniform I remember the hats rules and being measured if your skirt was over 4iinches above knee. Some very good teachers Mr Bushell English teacher who treated us as young women in the 6th form and some harridans Miss McArthy maths teacher was horrid. Brilliant orchestra and choir fond memories of singing Bachs St Matthews Passion and Christmas Oratorio every year and also speech day in the Phil in Liverpool. Anyone out there remember the school play ! Miss Gillett was very enthusiastic that was fun. And running down the nuns corridor as a dare. Some very nice wooden floors and building. Very cold hockey pitch!  We all did our homework and would not have gone to university probably if failed the eleven plus which was criminally unfair. And huge snobbery between the fancy formby prep school girls and the seaforth end of Liverpool gals who were mostly working class.. certain families had preferential and deferential treatment ...will stop now as sounding very whiney...anyone out there from this time ?
